ドッド=フランク法を中心にワシントンがどのような動きをみせているのかを6月から7月にかけてフォローしたもの。
これをみると、CFPBはかなり多くの活動を続けていることが分かる。そのなかでトップのコードレイを上院が承認に至るあたりがいちばんの見せ場であろう。これでようやくCFPBでのコードレイの位置は「確実な」ものになった。オバマのリセス・アポイントメントから数えて1年半後のことである。
FRBがバーゼルIIIを承認するかたちでの動きを決定したことも大きなできごとである。
上院でグラス=スティーガル法に似た法案が提出されたりもしている。
コミュニティ・バンクの動きなども興味深い。
何も決められない議会という状況がずっと続いてきており、予算案、移民問題、農業問題など問題は山積しているが、上記の各種委員長がようやく妥協により承認されるに至ったものの、共和党の大統領との対決姿勢が崩れたわけではない。
