アメリカには、当たり前かもしれないが、オバマケアをめぐる日々の動きを

アメリカには無保険者がきわめて多くいる。オバマケアは国民皆保険を目指すもの。また既往症があっても保険会社は申請を拒否できない。２６歳まで親の保険の適用が受けられる。保険は市場(exchange)で、コストの低いものを購入できるようにする。貧しい人も保険に入れるように助成金を提供する、といった特徴をもつものである。アメリカでは、賛否相半ばし、ようやくのことで法案が成立した。しかし、その後も違憲判決が出たり、共和党からはいくども廃案動議が出されたりしながら、今日に至っている。
